"Sleeping like a baby"
"An effective stress reliever"
"Effective against anxiety"
"It has a calming effect"
You've tried everything. But what's missing is a signal.
Melatonin. Evening routines. Dim light. Stories. Essential oils.
None of it truly lasts. Because your child's nervous system isn't looking for calm. It's looking for very specific information: where is my body in space?
Without that physical answer, they continue to search. To move. To get up. To resist.
The clinical testimonial
What a speech therapist observed before ordering for her own son.
"In therapeutic groups led by psychomotor therapists, children were free to do as they pleased. But they weren't playing; they were searching. They would wrap themselves in fabrics, cover themselves with objects, and "arrange" themselves in boxes. They would ask to be covered, with just their heads sticking out."
This mechanism has a name: physical containment.

Your child is looking for containment. Not calm.
Physical containment is the need to feel the boundaries of one's body.
The blanket goes over him.
The gentle, distributed, and predictable pressure tells their nervous system: you know where your body is. You can stop searching.
Cortisol drops. Melatonin rises.
Deep pressure triggers a natural hormonal reaction. Her body produces its own melatonin, without medication.
He falls asleep. And he stays asleep.
Fewer nighttime awakenings. More continuous sleep. And a different morning for him, and for you.

Frequently Asked Questions.
From what age can it be used?
From 12 years old, with one non-negotiable condition: the child must be able to remove the blanket alone. At Napoon, our models start at 4kg: they can therefore be suitable for some children from around 40kg. For children under 12 or who cannot free themselves alone, use must be supervised.
A weighted blanket is not a toy; it is a body regulation tool.
What if it's too heavy for my child?
That's why the 10% rule exists. Beyond that, the weight may be uncomfortable but not dangerous for a healthy child. If your child has a history of respiratory or cardiac issues, consult their doctor before use.
Does it work on the very first night?
For most children with ADHD and ASD: yes, the effect on falling asleep is often immediate. Full weight adaptation generally takes 7 to 10 nights. Some children find the sensation surprising at first; this is normal as it takes time.
Should it be used every night?
Most families use it every night. Some children also use it for homework, daytime meltdowns, or car rides. There are no contraindications to regular use.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash, delicate cycle 30°, moderate spin. Dry flat, never hang when wet. Check that your machine can handle the weight before starting the cycle. Napoon cotton does not shrink and retains its weight after washing.
When wet, the weight increases by 5%. If you have the right washing machine, that's perfect. Otherwise, it is best to wash it (like your traditional duvet) at a laundromat.
